So it's not like it's trying to do direct or anything silly I did not ask for. or maybe some rounding problem? I have also just updated to the very latest nvidia driver just to be sure. You can clearly see my driver is suggesting 60.0Hz as reported by windows using winapi (i have also tried setting 60.0f hardcoded in code. GPU speed from average of 6 median samples: 294 GPU Vendor: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970" GPU Driver: "25." MeasureGpuMegaPixelsPerSecond(): Returning 295 MP/sec. Updated HMD Prop_DisplayFrequency_Float to 59.999996 Initializing generic graphics device resources. Is there anything else you think could affect this automatic fullscreen at startup? Is this maybe something recently added to openvr (maybe by mistake even)? In fullscreen it already shows steamvr room just fine. what is an example of correct settings? I assume in windowed mode one would be able to set it to just about anything? For now i'm not even trying to use the HMD anymore, i just want to see if i can get a windowed compositor on the main display and have it display anything but red. You are saying it's red because of size/coordinates are not correct. These end up being the same as if hardcode them so for testing i'm just hardcoding. I have also tried to use EnumDisplayMonitors to find the correct offsets. If i alttab however i can clearly see the desired screen size and position is used (the headset window is placed where it should) but it's still in red. I have tried numerous hardcoded sizes which all yield the same result - fullscreen on primary display. The Prop_DisplayDebugMode_Bool is set to false. My driver isn't called "null" nor "sample". Is there maybe some hardcoded behavior differences per driver name or perhaps model/serial number? I have also tried setting these booleans to all possible combinations but it does not seem to help at all in my case.Īll i want is to have headset window on the secondary display windowed or fullscreen i don't mind. This is all straight from the sample driver. But setting it to true does not help the situation either.Īlso IsDisplayOnDesktop() returns true and IsDisplayRealDisplay() returns false in my Displa圜omponent. Prop_IsOnDesktop_Bool is set to false as per sample driver to avoid the warning. ![]()
